A little poem of my reflections...

Here's a little poem, I hope you like it...

I blink and batter these heavy lids,
While the hours ticked by and silently slid.
The night turns to morning while morning turns to day,
I haven't caught a wink and the sky's already grey.

The weather's perfect to idle about,
Do nothing more than sit and slouch.
But I've got to drag these massive weights,
And take my tests with a badly splitting head.

Sighs...The life of a goal orientated student,
Not entirely my fault, we're all in the same system.
Yes I admit that I have one too many goals,
And sometimes I work till I forget my soul.

The last leg of the second year is just around the corner,
And boy not only am I mugging, I'll be working as a mascoteer.
Some say I'm crazy and foolish to do such a feat,
But my reason's for me to gain as much experience through this heat.

Cause what I see in the future(the industry) it'll all be the same,
So why not let me give it a shot, since now it's still a game?
We're all so protected behind the textbooks, assignments and all,
So much so that sometimes when we first step foot we stumble and fall.

Oh why, oh why is life like this?
Where we're all so competitive, fierce and aggressive?
Well maybe that makes Singapore stay on the edge,
But it's money, not happiness that people pledge.

All I can say is that the future's not mine to see,
But it's mine to build and fabricate to all degrees.
Yes I know it will be very hard on myself,
But without money, who can look after his health?

You might feel the same after reading this post,
Knowing that you have work stacked up to your nose.
But think away from the present bitter predicament,
And visualise the future full of happiness and affluence.

2008! Ole Ole Ole!

It's 2008 right now and Looking back, I've seen a very eventful year I've had back then.

2007 seen the times when I was the closest to a very true love of mine - Hazel. Well, we were once a very loving couple, and to usher in 2007 last year, we were hugging each other tightly. Hahahaha. Those were the days. But every good thing has to come to an end someday and our relationship was kinda short-lived.

Also in 2007, I took up a CCA that I am both passionate and enthusiastic about - the Singapore Polytechnic Student Comperes. *I know many do not know how to pronounce Comperes, It's pronounced as "COMPARES") And what's compereing all about? It's actually Emceeing, Show-hosting. Some say it's not important but compereing is what strings together an entire event, it's what builds and creates the entire mood for the whole programme. And yes, I'm in love with compereing. Why? Cause I love my voice. HAHAHAHHAHA (how mad am I?)

Tears was also shed in 2007, where I lost a very very very very very close loved one - My Grandma. I still miss her, and still think of her. And sometimes, I wish that she would drop by like how she always did.

I've also done many other stuff in 2007, more mascot shows and there're more to come. But I won't tell you my characters! Hahahah. And also, Show-hosting for events outside school. It's a step closer to what I wish to do with my voice - to Put The Money At My Mouth, Literally! I hope that someday I can be talking to you not from a Blog but the Radio Speakers! God, hear my prayers!

2007 has many many more events, but it's too many to put down. I could talk about my new interest in computer games, actually it's just Battlefield 2. I know it's an old game, but it's one of the best first-person shooter games I've ever played. COD4's not too bad.

And lastly, I'll talk about my WIFE. Yes, she's hot, she's gorgeous, she's lovely, she's slick, she's amazing, she's power-packed, she's multi-tasked, she's bright and so many more qualities... Her name's MacBook Pro. Hahahaha. Well, she's a love that won't leave. And she can't get sick, cause there're no viruses around. Well, she's a Mac alright!

Alrighty, 2008's here and I shall take things in stride right now. My New Year Resolution? I've decided not to have one yet, cause I know that life's full of changes. And we've got to be nimble to adjust to each and every situation. So I'll just do my best for every predicament that comes in my way!

And with that, I wish you a Very Happy New Year! May your 2008 be filled with more jubilations than dilemmas. May your new year wishes come true as we put what's in 2007 behind and start our lives afresh(don't put your girlfriends down though)!
