Reminiscing...

I was watching a video on youtube which brought me back to the days when the Gym Gang sweated our guts out during our gymnastics trainings. The days when Aloysius, Daniel, Eddie and I would do nothing but sets after sets of the same routine, just to get our one goal, a medal for the coming competition. And apart from that was the grueling trainings that we put our juniors and ourselves through.

"Those were the days"
as many would say, and I fully agree with that.

I'm really glad I've spent every second of my life in secondary school to the max, utilising it in every way possible. As cliche as it sounds, I would like to encourage all students to do the same (as a fellow student).

Since entering the polytechnic, things have changed a great lot. Because of the lack of a standard structure for studies, I've some spare time here and there which is filled up by CCA and work. But somehow, it does not feel the same as before. It is not that my CCA is not exciting or whatsoever, but rather because of the different majors of individuals.

There's a difference in all our goals and hopes for our individual futures, for our lives and even for our CCA that we end up taking CCA as a past time rather than a family.

And that's the difference I feel. The days in QUEST was really warm and cosy. And although Quest was not a very good school at my time, it is now. The reason behind this?

The same words that lie in my handbook from my secondary school - A Common Vision.
Simple as it sounds, it is more than difficult to achieve. Especially with people of all walks of lives. Thinking back right now, I wish I'm still in QUEST. The times when we did not have to worry about the steps to take, the work to do, the deadlines that seem closer than ever.

The most enjoyable part of my life will always be the days in QUEST.

Polytechnic days are also enjoyable in a different form, and filled with excitement in it's own ways. Take my CCA for example - There'll never be 2 events that are held in the same way, and never 2 events with the same situation. The mental stage for show-hosting will never be the same even when the same event is held on the same physical stage.

So what is it in life that people truly want? I really wonder. People change as the environment changes around us. Although the change might not be a physical one, it affects us even in the most subtle ways. Can we be the same again? Maybe, but I don't think it's going to be easy.

School's Began

School's began. And it's been a week. Life's rather good nowadays, no more hassel and things to worry about.

This sem has more work for me to do. No real module that can allow me to score with one shot (MMR last sem). This sem's modules are all on an average of 4 credit units. So I've to work for all at the same time. Harder work now, but I'm all geared for it. Projects and all will start piling, but I'm ready. Bring it on.
