Cherishing the last year of teen-hood & the new addition.

First, I'll start off with one of my more important topics.

I'm 19, and I'm living it to the max. This is the last year I can possess the status of teenhood and I'm not going to waste the year I have. (Though I'll always proclaim that I'm forever 18!)

This year's birthday was simple. I prefered a quieter affair - just a simple dinner and a ritual singing of the birthday song. I'm all grown up already *smiles*.

*into the details*

We went for dinner at Family buffet restaurant at Takashimaya (formerly known as Pariss International) and boy it's not worth the money. There's nothing special about the place. The food's ordinary, the ambience's ordinary and the service is not up the the stars they were once known for. By our family's standard, it has failed quite badly. Sorry, we're all food lovers.

Now about the new addition to the family.

I was out with the SP choir's people who were in charge of the coming SP Choir concert this 23rd, and it was a rather "Interesting" meeting. Got to know the people more and (although I'm a music illiterate, somehow I) found the frequency they were on. I can see that this is going to get me somewhere now.

*meeting aside,*

Upon reaching home, I saw this little yellow toy car with a big wheel in the middle. As I plucked out my ear piece, I heard my mum going: " We've got a HAMSTER!"

My immediate reaction was: "Oh My God, now our house's really a ZOO!"

These are the pets I have. Hero the dog, Happy the cat, Hammy the hamster & *I dunno the name* the fighting fish. My house can officially be called Redhill Zoo.

I do hope no more animals will take refuge ( and my mum not to bring back more pets) in my home. It's crowded enough now. *laughter* But I have to say that the hamster's rather cute and energetic, scampering and jumping all over while I take it in my hands. Hyper Hammy I must say.

Okie Dokie, that's it for the past days, the rest is like any other ordinary day.

The 2 weeks of holidays left

Tomorrow marks the start of my last year of teen-hood. And this means after my nineteenth year of life, I'll no longer be able to say I'm (number)-teen. *sighs*

Is this a good thing, or a bad thing? I wonder. looking back on my past 18 years of life, I see a the periods of Ups and Downs. The Glory balanced with my Shame. The Depression and Melancholy standing out from the Happiness and Elation. Is there a motive in life? Is there something or somewhere that people head towards when they live, apart from education and a job?

Living life in a certain way is a choice that people constantly ask themselves. Should I go for this, or should I stick to that? Black shirt, or white T-shirt?

We are constantly thinking, that the time we stop is the time we leave the world. Sounds morbid, but that's a fact of life. 18 full years of thinking means 18 less for me to do. I hope that my coming years would be how i was a few years ago - Cheerful, happy-go-lucky and carefree. That's all I ask for.

A good job, good grades and other stuff is for me to strive for, not think about.

LTC - Redang

Adriana, Alvin, Anthony, "Charles", Cindy, Daryl, Kevin, Kenneth C, Kenneth T, Rachel & Rick,

I wanna thank you for the BEST Leadership Camp I've EVER HAD!

Strawberry Shortcake, Apple pie.
V-I-C-T-O-R-Y
NOVA, NOVA drive drive drive,
All you people HIGH HIGH HIGH!

That's our group cheer!

LTC Redang was the best leadership camp I've ever had. First, it was not held in Singapore, so we had the opportunity to learn more than what was available in school.

Snorkelling in the beautiful and stunning waters of Pulau Redang, the worries of work and all diffuses away. My very first snorkelling session with these new GREAT people was truly GREAT! I really mean it. We stuck together to keep weaker and unlearned swimmers protected and accompanied, while we fed the fishes which ate from our hands (even taking little pecks at our hands once in a while). This experience is more than words can ever describe.

And as for the SandCastle activity, I would say that NOVA is SUPA! We got a GPA of 4.0 for Teamwork, Unity, Cooperation and FUN! I'd like to say a big thank you to all the 11 members once again. NOVA, I LOVE U!

And like the 2 activities mentioned, all other activities were equally enjoyable. The great dinners and breakfast meals together while we poked fun at each other, the gatherings at each other's bunks for the craziest times, the "manipulation" of our dearest SAA director, the forefeit activities that we did with full enthusiasm and all the rest, all these times left me really really really really really fond memories of the camp.

Alright, I know I've said this umteen times, but I have to say it again.

This is the BEST Leadership Camp I've ever attended! NOVA, WE ROCK DOWN THE HOUSE!

MacBook Pro

Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa!

It's my very first blog post on Blogger with my new MacBook Pro. Woohoo! And guess what, I've installed boot camp, which allows me to run windows on this laptop. 2 operating systems on one laptop. Perfect! And the best thing is that it runs games almost perfectly! Just the Right click problem, which can be solved after I purchase a Mighty Mouse. hahaha, That's the Apple mouse.

Ole Ole Ole! I love this laptop. Totally Cool!

Alrighty, it's time to pack my luggage for the Leaders of Tomorrow Camp (on cruise) to Redang. I'm sure to enjoy the coming days. All hail!
